Giving

Many people believe that the church only wants members so that they can get ‘their money’! But the reality is that it costs over £2500 per week to keep the ministry of St. Andrew’s going.

Members of St Andrew’s contribute financially to the life and work of the church in many different ways.

1. By setting up a standing order with your bank – if you would like details on how to set this up, please contact church office.
2. A regular collection is taken at all Sunday services. Some people have regular gift envelopes which means we are able to budget for the giving and where appropriate claim the tax back (please see the section below for more information about this). If you would like to know more about giving using the envelope scheme please contact the church office.
3. One–off donations.
4. Legacies make a vital difference to St. Andrew’s local mission and ministry. The PCC will ensure all such gifts left through a will are discussed with the executors in the light of current projects and the donor’s known areas of interest. Please ask your solicitor when you make or change your will, or ask us for more information.

Tax Efficient Giving:

If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) and would like us to be able to claim back the basic rate tax, you will need to fill in, sign and return to us an ongoing Gift Aid declaration if you have not done so already. The benefit to us is that it can recover the basic rate of income tax, currently 25p for each pound given. (If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return.)

If you would like to know more information about how you can help support the ministry here, recieve a Gift Aid Declaration or pledge form then please contact the church administrator.
