Confirmation is a way in which adults and young people can reaffirm their promises which were made on their behalf in infant baptism by parents and godparents. The service is conducted by the Bishop who lays hands on those to be confirmed and prays for them. All adults who have not been baptised as children will have to be baptised before being confirmed, either at the font or by total immersion. Anyone wishing to be confirmed must have gone through our Christian discovery course as part of the preparation. If you would like to be confirmed please speak to a member of staff.
